SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY
OVERVIEW
KAPISTREE pieces are individually designed and may incorporate rare, historic and irreplaceable materials. For this reason, delivery arrangements are determined with regard to the nature, value and destination of each piece. This Shipping & Delivery Policy forms part of KAPISTREE's Terms of Service.
SECTION 1 - DELIVERY ARRANGEMENTS
Delivery arrangements and any estimated delivery period will be confirmed with the client as part of the acquisition process. For UK purchases, delivery is included in the purchase price.
Pieces priced below £7,000 are ordinarily delivered by an appropriately secure and insured courier service.
Pieces priced at £7,000 or above are ordinarily delivered personally or by another secure method agreed with the client following completion of the Private Acquisition.
Delivery dates and transit times may be subject to carrier availability and, for international purchases, customs formalities and licensing requirements. Where a binding delivery date has been expressly agreed, that date will apply.
SECTION 2 - RISK AND INSURANCE
Shipments arranged by KAPISTREE will be appropriately insured and title will remain with KAPISTREE until delivery.
Where a client independently appoints a carrier which was not offered or arranged by KAPISTREE, risk is transferred to the client.
SECTION 3 - INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY
International acquisitions are possible and are considered individually having regard to the destination, value, materials and historic character of the piece. Some artefacts in our collection require a UK export licence before international sale.
International delivery may be subject to additional shipping and insurance charges, customs procedures, import duties, taxes, cultural-property requirements, export or import licences, or other regulatory requirements.
Where KAPISTREE is the exporter, KAPISTREE will undertake or arrange such United Kingdom export formalities as are required of it. The client is responsible for destination-country import duties, taxes and import requirements except where KAPISTREE expressly agrees otherwise.
The incorporation of an historic artefact into a contemporary KAPISTREE design does not necessarily remove export, import, cultural-property or other regulatory requirements applicable to that artefact.
KAPISTREE may require additional time to establish whether a licence, permit, declaration or other documentation is required before a piece may lawfully be exported or imported.
SECTION 5 - CUSTOMS DELAYS
KAPISTREE is not responsible for delays caused solely by customs authorities, licensing bodies or other regulatory agencies, provided that KAPISTREE has complied with its own legal and contractual obligations.
Where additional information or documentation is reasonably required to complete an international delivery, the client agrees to cooperate with KAPISTREE and the relevant carrier or authority.
